Sultan Suleiman was the tenth and longest-reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.He was born on 6 November 1494. He died on 7 September 1566. He ruled from 1520 to 1566.He was known as known as “the Magnificent” in the west.He married a harem girl, Roxelana, who became Hoürrem Sultan; her intrigues as queen in the court and power over the Sultan made her quite renowned. His sons were Selim II, Bayezid, Abdullah, Murad, Mehmed, Mahmud, Cihangir, Mustafa and daughters Mihriman Sultan, Raziye Sultan.Ibrahim pasha was ha Grand Wazir (Prime Minister).He was the closest friend of Sultan and worked a lot for the expansion of empire. He was killed by Sultan Sulieman in 1536.Prince Mustafa was also killed and Sultan Suleiman Son Selim become the Sultan after his death in 1566. The Hourrem Sultan was the successful and powerful queen of the Ottoman Empire.
